Delaware Charitable Music Inc. recently announced some additions to the schedule surrounding performances for the Fall Into Jazz event which will begin at 8 p.m., Friday, Sept The Maple Grove Arts Council Jazz Ensemble extends an invitation to everyone to join with it Thursday, Sept. 9, from 7 to 9 p.m. for an organizing meeting for the “Friends of the Jazz Ensemble.” Members of the Jazz Ensemble, director Paul Mazzacano and members of the Maple Grove Arts Council will be available to answer questions about the Jazz Ensemble, the Arts Council and how the “Friends … The National Endowment of the Arts has announced its 2011 recipients of the country’s highest honor in jazz. Hubert Laws, Dave Liebman, Johnny Mandel, Orrin Keepnews and all five musicians of the Marsalis family will be recognized. Saxophonist Ben Jansson will bring his jazz quartet to the Chelsea Center for the Arts on Saturday for the Jazz Alive! workshop from 1 to 2 p.m. Jazz SummerFest was so successful that the popular Bickford Jazz Showcase has expanded it for 2010.
