The Winifred Moore Auditorium was in full swing Monday night as the Webster University Jazz Faculty Ensemble kicked off their jazz concert series. The series entered its 30th season with the program “Lesser Known Repertoire of Duke Ellington.” The concert series gives Webster faculty a chance to perform works that are relatively unknown in local clubs and venues. The Naples Jazz Orchestra will offer a performance at Shell Point Retirement Community on Monday, July 19. The event will take place in the Village Church Auditorium in The Island neighborhood at Shell Point Retirement Community. The Salem High School bands spring concert was held at 8 p.m. in the auditorium Thursday night The award-winning Brockton High School Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Workshop Band will perform a well-rounded slate of jazz favorites and newer fare at the annual jazz concert on Thursday. The concert is free and begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Edwin Nelson Auditorium at Brockton High School. The Maple Grove Arts Council and CROSS Food Shelf will sponsor a spring Maple Grove Arts Council Jazz Ensemble concert Saturday, April 17, at Maple Grove Junior High School in the auditorium. Showtime is 7 p.m. The Madison Music Association presented “Dessert and Jazz” Saturday night, Jan. 30, at Madison High School, with desserts and students in small jazz ensembles in the cafeteria, followed by a concert in the auditorium by high school and Madison Junior School jazz bands.
