The Madison Music Association presented “Dessert and Jazz” Saturday night, Jan. 30, at Madison High School, with desserts and students in small jazz ensembles in the cafeteria, followed by a concert in the auditorium by high school and Madison Junior School jazz bands. The Hutchins Consort will present ‘A Night in Vienna’ on Jan. 16 LAKEVILLE — The Apponequet Regional High School music department will be presenting their annual winter concert tonight at 7 pm in the Robert C. EL PASO — You’d think after performing here seven times in the last 10 years that saxophonist Dave Koz would have worn out his welcome. Think again As the young musicians entered and paraded their way to the front of the auditorium, parent paparazzi swarmed about them armed with cameras and video to capture that keepsake moment of childhood at the Four Seasons Elementary School Winter Concert last week. A jazz concert, featuring the Yakima Valley Community College guitar ensemble, will take place Thursday in the Kendall Hall Auditorium at the YVCC Yakima campus. Artistic Director Byron Stripling says the Columbus Jazz Orchestra’s annual “Home for the Holidays” concerts started out as a fun, one-time idea five years ago, but “now it’s a tradition.” Miami University’s Jazz Ensemble will perform at 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, in Hall Auditorium on Miami’s Oxford campus. The Santa Paula High School Jazz Band will hold its first concert of this school year on November 19th at 7:00 PM in the Freeman Eakins Auditorium on the high school campus.
