A performance by the Ed Broms Jazz Quartet will open the city of Quincy’s annual Summerfest” concert series on Wednesday evening at the Ruth Gordon Amphitheater in Merrymount Park. Six “Hot Jazz — 6 Cool Nites” concerts will be presented the week of July 17 at North Central College. During these tough economic times, attendance at the American Jazz Museum has been down. That’s just one of the challenges the museum has faced over the past year.
