Kingsburg High has another award-winning musical group coming to the school for a free concert. Pacific Standard Time, California State University, Long Beach’s jazz choir from the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music, is performing at 7 p.m. Jan North Hills , the debut album from the California band, draws instant comparison to the alt-country sounds associated with Los Angeles’ Laurel Canyon. Pop, folk, jazz and gospel performers will highlight the Santa Monica Nativity Scenes Summer Benefit Concert and Dessert Night scheduled at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 27th at St. Monica Catholic Church’s Cantwell Auditorium, Seventh Street and California Avenue, in Santa Monica. The California native found his way from West Coast beaches to the swamps of New Orleans to perfect his soulful, ’70s-style blues-rock.
