Delaware Charitable Music Inc. recently announced some additions to the schedule surrounding performances for the Fall Into Jazz event which will begin at 8 p.m., Friday, Sept The group’s drummer, who died Wednesday, will be remembered in the band’s sets Friday night at Doc’s Lakeside Seafood Restaurant in Canandaigua. With many summer concert series having run their course, and the fall presenting season yet to get underway, it’s a relatively light week for live jazz in St. The Clifton Recreation Department’s free summer concert series continues on Sunday at Main Memorial Park, located at 1395 Main Ave., beginning 7:30 p.m. The city’s Jazz by the Bay concert series continues next Friday with a performance by Eugene Huggins at Gabrielson Park, Anchor Street and Bridgeway. Organizers of the second annual Jazz Sudbury Festival are announced Friday they are teaming up with Laurentian University to add a free concert to this year’s lineup. The concert will be held Sept Jazz musician and composer Sonny Rollins will be in New Hampshire this weekend. The Milton Theatre will present HappinessA Thing Called Jazz: Take 2 at 8 p.m., Friday, Aug. 6. IF JAZZ is about freedom, Filipina singer Charito captured its essence Friday night at Hard Rock Cafe Makati. Jazz has been a male-dominated art since the beginning, roughly a century ago and matters haven’t improved much since then.
