Teen jazz group to perform at library (Alameda Journal)

After two successful shows, the Live@theLibrary mus ic series wraps up with a jazz concert Saturday night. That’s when Michael Zilber, director of the Jazzschool Advanced High School Jazz Workshop, and six high school musicians will take the stage.

KCKCC Jazz Band learn from premier artists (Kansas City Kansan)

The Kansas City Kansas Community College Jazz Band and Jazz Combo were accompanied by two of the world’s best, bass player Christoph Luty and drummer Jeff Hamilton. Both members of the Jeff Hamilton Trio which is the backup on Barbra Streisand’s latest album, the two musicians gave hour-long clinics to both the Jazz Band and Jazz Clinic.
