First Fridays Jazz at the Library will host its final concert of the season Friday night when jazz ensemble Anonymity Guru will perform from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Library Park, 516 Macon Ave. The Highland Park Public Library, 31 North Fifth Avenue, is sponsoring a Fall Concert Series. The series begins with the Jim Lapidus Jazz Trio on Thursday, August 19 at 7:00 PM. The New Canaan Librarys Notes in Summer will present The Hot Cat Jazz Band, which will perform an outdoor concert at 8 p.m. Thursday, June 24, at the West Plaza entrance behind the library The annual Gibsons Landing Jazz Festival is fast approaching, and yes it looks like another fabulous year. The ever-popular Jazz Week with live music in local restaurants kicks off June 5 at the Wild Bistro then Saturday, June 6 at the Gibsons Public Library at noon with guitar duo Tinfish. First Friday Jazz at the Library will kick off its summer concert series Friday evening when Mango fan Django will play at Cara Fisher Square, also referred to as Library Park, 516 Macon Ave. The second annual Leo Curran Memorial Jazz Concert will be held tonight at the Milford Town Library, 80 Spruce St. The Library’s new collection of Gordon’s materials, donated by widow Maxine Gordon, includes items from throughout a career than spanned five decades.
